Art in Fort Worth: July

We took advantage of the long holiday weekend to see the summer exhibitions at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth and the Kimbell Art Museum.

"Disappearing--California" and "David Park: A Retrospective" were amazing and provided a nice aesthetic contrast to "Monet: The Late Years" at the Kimbell. The Monet exhibit was beautiful and deep. Monet is one of the most famous artists in the world, but the exhibit still taught me new things about him, and exposed me to new work. "Disappearing -- California" is on view through August 11, and "David Park: A Retrospective" is up through Sept. 22, both at the Modern. "Monet: The Late Years" is at the Kimbell through Sept. 15.
