This exhibition at the Dallas Museum of Art was simply perfect. From the wide range of fashions to the exhibition design to the sheer gorgeousness and exquisite craftsmanship of the clothing, it was exceptional in every way. It would have been easy for the DMA to lean on the designs to carry the show, but lucky for us, it went the extra mile. I especially loved that it paired art from its permanent collection with the groupings, which provided continuity and reminded visitors where they were, and what treasures it had to offer.
